Great interview! That was a golden era of "Blues Rock".

I always considered Joe Walsh's guitar playing in the James Gang to be his best work.

With the death of Hendrix and the breakup of Cream, there were a few gritty bands playing Blues Rock prior to the takeover of MOR Yacht Rock and Disco:

The James Gang, Cactus, and Beck Bogart and Appice spring to mind.

Great stories in that interview! Alice Cooper... LMAO!

And yes, I remember Thai stick bringing a few sessions to an end.

awesome interview. he really sounds like a cool guy, and he handled pounce's seeming fixation with sex and drugs quite effectively.

    very educational.

    more, please!

Untill I heard this interview I didn't realize that was a gay band. By the way I think that new band is called "The Breech Loaders".

just for the record, as you might assume bobo is someone richard knows personally and richard told me today that he found the above very funny. it is from a buddy of his. we wouldn't want random internet people attacking our guests, otoh this is the kind of schoolboy banter i might expect from richard and his friends. so it gets a pass since richard and "bobo" are old friends from real life.

Hanging out with Tom Dowd must have been a trip and a half.

That makes me want to watch "The Language Of Music" again

    yes, i've done that too!

click on the mixerman radio show icon above top left, in that window select which audio program you want and then hit the download button. in my case, viola, i opened it in itunes and the rest as they say is history. it's a great way to listen to the radio shows, interviews, and so forth.
