Default Master Recording Comparison: Please Help Me Choose

Hi All,

Attached you will find a remix that I recently did for EMI (Canada's) dance-pop band, Take The Night.

I have expressed written consent to post this mix on websites at my "careful" discretion for non-commercial purposes.

The song is called "Bring This Party Home", I would like you all to help me choose the BEST master of this recording; there are four (4) to choose from. Each was done by a different party with different interests and styles.

My interests were as Tuba Solo suggested on another thread: that the mix retained punch, power and clarity when played very loud.

And that it matched current EQ trends for dance-floor remixes.

PLEASE HELP ME CHOOSE

My Mix w/ Limiting

Alternative Remix Version for comparison

Hi Hakim,

I did listen to your tracks. I'm not particularly into dance music but I have some thoughts when listened.

I think Master A lacks low end compared to B & C.
Master B is definitely the most aggressive sounding.
Master C is better frequency wise than A and softer sounding than Master B. It sounds the most balanced of the three.

Based on personal taste I would go for C but based on todays dance-floor trends, you should go with the biggest and loudest sounding beat. After all, you want your beat to blow the club up right? Or isn't that the purpose of club music?

Hope this makes any sense. Just my two cents

PS: I did make this judgements on decent pair of headphones. Didn't had a control room or any good listening environment around right now.

I would go for B as well. The pumping side-chain comp totally works in this genre, there are no prizes for subtlety with this song. I say go big! Go B!
